Hello world.

Summer. The antithesis to this past year. I have been staying in the Illinois area, making some trips to Chicago every now and then, but living for the most part at the family house on Church street. I have been here to witness my brother and sister depart for WYD Sydney and come back, my other sister went to Italy with my mother and now to Australia with my Dad. The past week and a half I’ve been here taking care of the youngest ones while everyone else traveled on business and leisure.

The return to Champaign has been gradual. I’m reading a work by Honore de Balzac and feel an odd sensation akin to loss about France and Paris. C’est la vie? I have come to like that phrase.

What have I been working on this summer? I have been employed by Atron Regen, an independent interior designer here in Champaign and working part time at CERL for Hal again. Year 6. Studying for the GRE, reading, biking, working out, being with some good friends. I haven’t really gotten into the bar scene since coming back. When I did go, I realized I had missed nothing.

I’m leaving out a lot of the details just because I have to continue studying for the GRE and I was never really good at lengthy blog posts. Looking forward to school and life?
